Effective November 18, 2024, the process for requesting ABA services has changed. Our new digital process saves time and is part of our commitment to making working with us easier.

Request Services 

The process for requesting ABA services is dependent on provider network status, the state where services will be provided and member plan. All requests should be submitted using the new digital process which requires a One Healthcare ID (OHID) to log in to the Provider Express secure portal. 

New to the Provider Express secure portal and need a OHID? Register now. 



What to have ready for your ABA request 

  • Review the ABA clincal review requirements.
  • Provider data: Name, address, NPI and TIN
  • Member data: Name, address and Member ID*
    *Member ID search is a feature in the digital request.  

Submit a digital ABA services request 


In-network providersLog in to the secure portal:
1. Select 'Auths' from the upper right menu
2. Click the 'Auth request' tab
3. Choose 'Request a new authorization'
4. Select ABA Assessment or Treatment from the drop down
5. Complete the required fields and submit 

   Out-of-network providers
   Submit an ASSESSMENT request 
   Submit a TREATMENT request


About Applied Behavior Analysis

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an individualized form of behavioral therapy. All ABA services require prior approval.  

ABA services are commonly prescribed for individuals diagnosed with autism. ABA has been proven to help individuals diagnosed with autism gain new skills and reduce behaviors that negatively impact quality of life.

Most eligibility can be verified online by signing in to the secure provider portal or by calling the Behavioral Health number on the back of the member's ID card.
