Optum Behavioral Health and Mass. General Brigham Health Plan providers and teams gathered in Billerica in June for a three-part continuing education event. Massachusetts-licensed network providers gathered from across the state where they care for Optum members: Bedford, Lowell, Quincy, Norwood, Chestnut Hill, and Brookline.
The event gave providers an opportunity to meet their local Provider Relations Advocates in person, to ask questions and collaborate to resolve items of concern.
Attendees were given tips on how to leverage the Provider Express secure portal as a digital solution for reducing administrative burden. Step-by-step guidance was provided for claim submission and tracking, updating a provider profile, attestation and more. During dinner, attendees networked, creating meaningful connections with their peers.
Dr. Mona Potter concluded the event with a presentation on Innovations in Pediatric Anxiety and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Treatment. Attendees engaged with Dr. Potter asking poignant questions about anxiety, mental and behavioral compulsions, medication treatment, exposure therapy, and more. Attendance included eligibility for 2 free CEUs. Future events are being planned across Massachusetts this fall.
