January 2026 Top of Mind

Behavioral benefits change for 2 HMO D-SNP plans in 2026

Effective Jan. 1, 2026, Optum Behavioral Health is no longer managing the behavioral health benefits for UnitedHealthcare Dual Complete Medicare Advantage members in Delaware.

What this means for you

The plans listed below are impacted by this change. There will be no changes to any other Medicare Advantage plans available to Delaware members at this time.

  • UHC Dual Complete DE-V001 (HMO-POS D-SNP)
  • UHC Dual Complete DE-S0001 (HMO-POS D-SNP)

What this means for claims

  • Services rendered through Dec. 31, 2025: UHC Dual Complete Medicare Advantage services should be billed to Optum Behavioral Health for reimbursement, as you do today.
  • Claims for services beginning Jan. 1, 2026: You’ll need to check your network status with the member’s new plan before their first appointment with you in 2026 to ensure you participate in that plan’s network.

During your first appointment in the new year, we encourage you to ask members for their new ID card and update your records with the new plan information.

Then, contact the new plan to discuss contracting (if needed), as well as member benefits, transition of care and other questions you may have.
