We’ve expanded the ability for group practices and facilities to request prior authorizations through our enhanced digital process using the Provider Express secure portal. This enhanced process means you’ll spend less time, get faster decisions and have increased transparency into status and decisions.
Who can use the enhanced process?
All in-network and out-of-network groups and facilities can use the enhanced process in the Provider Express secure portal. You’ll need a One Healthcare ID to log in. Register now if you don’t have one.
What’s improved?
Important features all in one place make it easier and faster to request authorization of services:
- Member eligibility: It’s automatically verified and synced in the secure portal before you submit a request. You do not need to verify eligibility as a separate step in the process.
- Service-specific information: The information you need to provide is tailored to the service(s) you’re requesting authorization. It’s not a one-size-fits-all approach, so you can be focused in key items.
- Key provider data: Now, you can update the provider/Tax ID, service location and contract during the submission, which can reduce billing errors.
- Instant email verification with a request reference number: You’ll receive immediate confirmation of your submissions, with a reference number to track requests in real time within the Provider Express secure portal. This eliminates uncertainty and waiting for status updates.
- Faster decisions: By making it easier to provide complete information upfront, you’ll have fewer requests for additional information – which means fewer decision delays. That gives you time back to focus on patient care.

Groups follow the same simple steps as individual providers:
- Sign in to the secure Provider Portal using a One Healthcare ID
- From the Authorization menu select 'Auth Request'
- Complete the steps and submit your request
- Check a request status at any time by selecting the reference number in the Authorization section
Facilities follow these simple steps:
- Sign in to the secure Provider Portal using a One Healthcare ID
- From the Authorization toolbar select “Review Online”
- Search for member using member ID; eligibility will automatically align to the request
- Complete the required fields beginning with Level of Care and Proceed to Step 3
- If the member selected is ineligible for services, the request will be denied
- You can check request status at any time by selecting the reference number in the Authorization section
