Optum partners with MGBHP to support behavioral health care in 8 additional counties in 2026
Beginning January 1, 2026, Optum will manage behavioral health services for members enrolled in two Massachusetts dual-eligible special needs plans (D-SNP): Mass General Brigham Health Plan’s D-SNP One Care and Senior Care Options. D-SNP plans enroll individuals who are eligible for Medicare and Medicaid benefits. The two plans have distinct age requirements for enrollment:
- One Care enrollees must be between ages 21-64
- Note: One Care enrollees may remain with the plan upon turning 65, if they choose
- Senior Care Options enrollees must be ages 65+
This partnership with Mass General Brigham Health Plan supports D-SNP members in 8 Massachusetts counties:

What this means for you
If you are currently contracted with Optum for the Senior Care Options and/or One Care networks, you’ll receive additional information about this new membership in the mail. If you are not currently contracted but would like to participate, please review the network participation options and follow the instructions to submit an application.
