October 2025 Top of Mind

Become an MnFIRE Assistance Program provider today

  1. Do you have training and/or experience providing services to firefighters and first responders?
  2. Are you licensed to practice in Minnesota?
  3. Do you hold a current Master’s- or PhD-level license?

If you answered “yes” to these three questions, you could become a participating provider in the MnFIRE Assistance Program network.

About the program

The MnFIRE Assistance Program offers Minnesota firefighters and their families five no-cost visits per year, per issue, with a behavioral health provider. The program also aligns firefighters with trained MnFIRE peer support-safe confidential resources for members who can relate to the unique challenges facing these first responders.

How to participate

The first step is to email MnFIRE Provider Relations Advocate, Kayla Diesslin at kayla.diesslin@optum.com, indicating your interest in the program.

More information is available on the MnFIRE program web page and on the Provider Express Minnesota state page > MnFire Assistance Program.
