Effective Jan. 1, 2025, Optum Behavioral Health is no longer managing the behavioral health benefits for Providence Employee Health Plan members in Alaska, California, Montana and Washington.
As a participating provider, your existing Provider Participation Agreement requires no action.
What this means for you
Services rendered through Dec. 31, 2024: Claims should be submitted to Optum Behavioral Health for reimbursement as you have done in the past.
Services beginning on or after Jan. 1, 2025: During your first appointment in the new year, ask the member for their new Providence Employee health plan ID card. Update your records with the new behavioral health plan information and submit claims as outlined on the card.
You’ll need to check your network status with the member’s new behavioral health plan to ensure you participate in that plan’s network.
