Turquoise Care members get a lift

Did you know Turquoise Care members can request no-cost transportation for mental health and substance use disorder services,  medical appointments and other related trips? Transportation is provided by Tripmaster and is covered at no cost to the member under the United Healthcare Community Plan of New Mexico Turquoise Care plan.

Help members arrange a ride to their next appointment with you

If you’re a behavioral health provider who works with Turquoise Care members, encourage your clients to use this benefit so it’s easier for them to seek care.

Members can call 1-877-236-0826, TTY 711 to schedule transportation or manage existing trips.

  • Transportation must be arranged at least three business days in advance for local travel and two weeks in advance for out-of-state travel.
  • The member must have their Medicaid ID card and photo identification available for pickup. The ride could be canceled without member proof of coverage and identity.
  • Reminders about courteous behavior toward the transportation provider is encouraged, as disrespctful or abusive treatment by a member toward the driver or Tripmaster dispatch may result in member suspension from tranportation services.
