Benefits administration change for Premera Blue Cross Medicare Advantage

Beginning Jan. 1, 2025, Optum will no longer manage the behavioral health benefits for the Premera Blue Cross Medicare Advantage health plan.

 

What you need to know

  • Claims through Dec. 31, 2024: Services rendered through Dec. 31, 2024, will continue to be managed by Optum. Please continue to submit these claims as you do today.
  • Claims beginning Jan. 1, 2025: During your first appointment in the new year, ask your client for their new Premera Blue Cross Medicare Advantage member ID card. Update your records with the new plan information and submit claims as outlined on the card.
