Learn what you need to do so you can assist those in crisis in Louisiana

The Louisiana Department of Health/Office of Behavioral Health is creating a coordinated system to provide crisis services to Medicaid members – and you’re invited to be a part of it.

The new Louisiana Crisis Response System provides a spectrum of services designed to reduce barriers individuals often face when trying to access services during a mental health crisis. This innovative, collaborative approach delivers rapid access to rapid care through mobile crisis response, behavioral health crisis centers, community brief crisis support and crisis stabilization services. The system executes a coordinated statewide crisis system that builds upon the existing needs, strengths and resources of Louisiana’s Medicaid-serviced individuals and communities. This system includes call center(s), mobile crisis response, community brief crisis support, behavioral health crisis centers, and crisis stabilization providers.
