Optum welcomes 3,500 Medicare Advantage members starting Jan. 1, 2026
Members in Santa Clara county can look forward to “Optum-al” behavioral health care next year. That’s because Optum will begin administering behavioral health benefits for UnitedHealthcare and Senior Care Action Network Medicare Advantage members that utilize Physicians Medical Group of San Jose. Starting Jan. 1, 2026, 3,500 Medicare Advantage members will have access to behavioral health services.
No action is required on your part. Providers contracted with Medicare Advantage will be automatically included in the provider network for this program. Reimbursement for services will align with your existing Medicare fee schedule.
